How to Pick the Sanitation Manager's Class that is right for you!

Have you been wondering which class is best for you or your team? Let us help you out!

As an experienced instructor who has been teaching Sanitation Manager's courses for over 17 years I have made many important observations. Students, most of the time, fall under three categories of people.

The Expert - This person has worked in the food service industry for over 5 years and has had the certificate before at least 1- 2 times. They have all the general knowledge of food safety and have been through a few inspections.

Our recommendation: Take the 1-day course you can get everything done in one shot. It is faster paced and you don't have to remember a whole lot in one day because you pretty much are just being taught the new stuff. You already know about Salmonella, FATTOM and what an SDS sheet is.

The Intermediate - This person has some experience or may have just entered the industry they know enough to be able to relate concepts from the book to their current or previous work. They may have a food handler's certificate or may have taken the class before but failed. They may have even had the certificate many years ago but they don't remember all the material.

Our Recommendation - Take the 2-day course with exam on the 2nd day. You may have some of the basic knowledge but need to study and allow the information to sink in so you can pass that test.

The Beginner - This person may not have ever worked in the industry has never had food service training and has never had a sanitation class of any kind.

Our Recommendation - Take the 3-day course with the exam on the third day. You need time. This is a new language in most cases and a lot, if not all the information will be new. Take your time and spend it studying the material over the course of some days and you will have it all down by the time of the exam.
